Keep the programme open without losing the conversation
The event brought parallel panel discussions, vehicle displays and networking into the same venue. The challenge was to support several sessions at once while keeping the environment open and easy to navigate.
Conventional room separation would have changed both the spatial character and the way attendees moved through the programme.
Give each session an audio channel and a visible identity
The production used silent conferencing: separate microphone and mixing arrangements fed different wireless headphone channels. Attendees could choose a session by selecting its channel and moving to the corresponding area.
Coloured lighting structures gave the session zones distinct identities. Audio planning, headset distribution and battery management had to work alongside that visual organisation. Sightlines and the positions of the discussions also mattered within the shared space.
What the approach made possible
Multiple programme tracks could operate within an open event setting, alongside vehicle displays and networking. The audience navigation combined a physical move through the venue with a simple change of audio channel.
