Technical production & creative delivery

Keep the idea. Solve the production.

IM-Production translates creative event concepts into coordinated technical requirements. We connect the design with staging, audio, video, lighting, temporary structures and the practical conditions of the venue.

The render is the beginning of the conversation

Where can the structure stand? How will it be supported? Can the audience see the performance from the intended positions? Where does the equipment go when the design asks for an empty room?

These questions are part of creative delivery. We work with designers and specialist suppliers to identify the technical implications of a concept, compare workable options and explain what each choice means for the experience, schedule and budget.

What we coordinate

  • Translation of the creative concept into supplier requirements.
  • Technical interfaces between staging, AV, lighting and scenic construction.
  • Equipment positions, sightlines, access and production logistics.
  • Integration of technical systems into scenic and architectural elements.
  • Design reviews, supplier clarifications and technical handovers.
  • Build and rehearsal coordination within the agreed scope.

Specialist engineering, structural calculations and formal technical approvals remain with the appropriately appointed specialists. We coordinate their input into the production plan.

What you receive

A coordinated technical brief, an overview of key interfaces and a clear record of the decisions needed to move from design to production. Drawings, engineering and specialist system designs are scoped with the relevant suppliers.

Selected work

In practice: a stage with two lives

For Zalando x Highsnobiety, the documented production combined a walk-through installation with an open performance stage. Curtains, lighting, sound and stage design had to support both uses and the transition between them.

Questions

Can you work with our creative agency?

Yes. IM-Production can work alongside an appointed creative agency, interpreting the design intent and coordinating the production requirements with technical suppliers.

Do you supply all the equipment yourself?

The service centres on planning, coordination and delivery responsibilities. Equipment, fabrication and specialist installation are defined in the project scope and sourced through the relevant suppliers. The proposal should make those responsibilities explicit.
